Busy Workload

We have now entered period 3 of the year and due to current extensive workload we have added new joiners to the team projects currently on going are an extensive water damage project in Gorgie Road in Edinburgh where the building was submerged under 3 feet of water the walls are all being fitted with Delta Membranes and the floors painted with an epoxy resin paint the property is being converted into a gym and we are working alongside the main contractor on this project who is Our cellar conversion teams are also very busy with cellars currently work in progress are 2 at Heriot Row, 3 at Carlton Street, 2 at Moray Place,3 at Manor Place, and 3 at Dundas Street 1 at Union Street, and one      starts tomorrow at Grosvnor Street so 15 currently work in progress.

Our Damp proofing teams are also very busy we are currently work in progress at a basement in Hillside Crescent in Edinburgh on a property with extensive rising damp the walls are stripped 1 metre high and the exposed walls are drilled and a new damp proof course inserted followed by the fitment of Delta PT Membranes the walls are then plaster finished we have 2 teams of plasterers working flat out and we are currently booked 3 weeks ahead with this type of work. We are also currently working on 2 Basement waterproofing jobs where the entire basements of these properties are being waterproofed 1 at Dublin Street and one at Clarendon Crescent in Edinburgh.

We are booked in to start next week an extensive Damp proofing job to a property at Upper Gilmore Place, and another Basement conversion in Northumberland Street Edinburgh.

We are starting an extensive water damage job next week at Buckingham Terrace this is another insurance water damage repair where a burst mains pipe flooded 3 floors of the building the clients are moving out for 6 weeks to allow our restoration and drying out works to be completed.

We also have a new van on the road.

Surveying and enquiries are at an all time high with up to 8 surveys a day being done 7 days a week to keep up with demand.

Royal Plaza Hotel

We start work next week at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Royal Terrace in Edinburgh. We have 5 basement rooms to waterproof and fit out, we are also undertaking damp proofing works to the basement of the Hotel we have 5 weeks to conclude our section of the job upon when the main contractor will take the job to completion.
With the help of Deltas technical surveyor Michael Vernon we designed the waterproofing system so all products used on the job will be supplied by Delta Membranes we are using Delta Slim Line PT Membranes for the damp proofing and Delta MS 500 Membranes for the waterproofing and the insurance backed Guarantees are from Specialist Buildings Guarantees

We started another major water damage repair this week at a property in Balerno that suffered severe water damage due to burst pipes during the recent freeze this is the 2nd Floood job we have started in January the other one being in Gorebridge.

We are now offering a same day fast track  service Survey so if you call in the morning or if at the time you call we have availability and are nearby we will call in on the same day of the survey enquiry and undertake the survey.

Example.  We received a call Yesterday asking if we could undertake a pre sale survey for dampness on a property in the City Centre of Edinburgh and it had to be done yesterday as we were only around 30 mins from the property and our next appointment was not till 4pm and it was 1.30 we said yes so we collected the keys from the selling Agent went online to check what the Home Report was detailing undertook the survey and returned the keys to the selling agent.

We got back to the office at 5pm and wrote the report and did the drawing of the property marked up detailing the damp we then e mailed the report to our client and the there solicitor which itemised the costs to fix the damp and provide a Guarantee.

Kingston 2018

We started back to work last week after having our Christmas and New Year break we did undertake quite a few emergency surveys for burst pipes over the holidays as they were emergency call outs 2 major water damage claims were attended to and all the paperwork has now been processed one job started last Tuesday and its a complete strip out dry out and re build, the other one at Balerno starts on the 22nd of January again a major flood damage claim.

Under street cellars are becoming more and more popular and we have 12 cellars booked in to start in January our Basement team have 2 major basement jobs currently in work in progress the one at Dublin Street is about 75% complete as is the Basement job at Clarendon Crescent Edinburgh.

Our Damp proofing team are really busy with jobs just started at Gilmore Place Edinburgh, Kirk Street in Prestonpans, a major operation to complete a Damp proof course strip plaster 1 metre high and fit Delta Membranes started yesterday in Ainslie Place Edinburgh and we are working all weekend to push this one to completion.

Kingston Cellars

We are almost finished the super cellar conversion at Oxford Terrace in Edinburgh this cellar has fitted a toilet and a sink and has under floor heating and the floors and walls have been tiled as the owner is pretty tall we dug this cellar out reducing the floor level by 18 inches in order to create additional head height.

The cellar has been fitted with an internal double glazed door an extractor fan and down lighters the owner is extremely happy and gave us a gift today to thank us for doing his cellar conversion which will become an office.
